Early Release

As we continue to work on ways to improve student release we are asking the following:  When picking up children early from school please be prepared to sign them out using the red binder on the counter.  Unless there is an emergency please note students will not be called out of class after 2:15 pm Monday – Thursday or 12:15 on Fridays rather they will be released at regular dismissal.  Please plan accordingly.

Calling in Attendance

Please remember if your child is out sick to call our attendance line within 48 hours at (805) 378-6306 and then press 1.  Please leave your student's full name, teacher, reason for being absent, your full name and relationship to student.

If no reason for the absence is given your child will be marked UNEXCUSED.

Remember having your child here on time for school is important for your student, his/her classmates, and your child’s teacher.

Parking Lot Safety Reminders

Safety in the parking lot before and after school continues to be a concern. Please remember the following:

Drive slowly.

Stay to the right to drop off/pick up students.

Pull all the way to the side gate before dropping off/picking up students.

Do not drop off/pick up students near the front gate as this stops the flow of traffic.

Do not allow your children to cross the parking lot by themselves.

If you would like to get out of your vehicle to walk your child to the gate, park in a designated parking space.  Do not park in the traffic lane.

Do not stop in front of the handicapped parking spaces.  The law requires that these spaces be accessible.

If you need to use your cell phone, please use a hands-free device or park in a designated parking space before you dial.

Use the crosswalk to get through the parking lot.

Wait for the crossing guard to stop traffic before crossing the parking lot.

If everyone, drivers, and pedestrians, follows the rules then our parking lot will be a safer place for all.
