The Reading Incentive Program. Read to Succeed is an exciting program that encourages students in grades K through 6 to read for fun. Students who complete six hours of recreational reading earn a free ticket to Six Flags! The program is available to teachers and schools at no cost to participate, and it's a great way to motivate kids to read. HOW YOU CAN HELP Log students' reading hours on a spreadsheet. Enter reading hours/names into Six Flags website. Print certificates. We also have a reading incentive program in Feb. and March, where we need someone to log reading minutes, and help distribute prizes (books, medals).

Reflections Art Program National PTA Reflections welcomes all grades and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts. Annually, thousands of students will reflect on a common theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. HOW YOU CAN HELP Assist Reflections Chair with any of the following: Displaying students' art, creating a ballot, hanging the art at the banquet, logging students' names into Reflections webpage 2017/2018 Chair: Lisa Walsh

Bust-A-Move Fundraiser This is our second biggest fundraiser for PTA! This new annual event is held in the fall on the final day of Spirit Week.  It celebrates our children’s health by encouraging them to "Bust a Move" (or dance & groove) in a scheduled 30-minute period.  Each child gets a financial pledge sheet to take home for friends and family to sponsor them. HOW YOU CAN HELP Supervise the fun!  Prepare completed pledge sheets, set-up, clean-up, sponsors, and count collected funds 2017/2018 Chair: Still Needed!

Family Fun Night Our main fundraiser and FUN raiser!  This annual May event requires a lot of planning and all the help available.  This event includes: fun and activities, a bake sale, food and goodies, blind draw baskets, silent auction, live auction and raffle drawings.  It is also a night to visit your child's classroom.  Catch up with other families and have a ball! HOW YOU CAN HELP Distribute flyers to local businesses to display, mail requests for donations, coordinate with the teachers regarding crafts/activities, send thank you notes after FFN, coordinate vendors & rentals required for FFN, help the day of FFN for set up and take down, bake sale items, track the donations that come in. Other ways you can help: Send out request for baked good donations, set up tables and coffee, arrange for volunteers to sell, clean-up crew, count funds received. 2017/2018 Chair: Shelah DelaRosa
